Good morning guys, I'm here to ask for help since after literally hours of trying I still can't manage to make my Logitech Webcam C920 looks like how it looks when previewing and recording with Logitech Webcam Software (LWS).
I'm a streamer those are some specs:
MOBO Asrock Z97 Extreme4
CPU Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4GHz
GPU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970
O.S. Windows 8.1
I'll give some more details. Both in preview and on recording mode, both with mp4 and flv output format, it seems like if there is some flickering noise all over the image/video, expecially when the area isn't perfectly enlightened. This happens only on OBS, while when recording with LWS it seems like there is something like a post-processing effect or a deinterlace effect which I CAN'T reproduce on OBS.
Then I discovered that ONLY LWS and Skype can use the onboard H.264 webcam codec, -- while with OBS you just can choose the output format among MJPG, RGB24, I420 for webcams or you can just encode the whole scene directly with your default encoding that you have chosen in OBS' encode settings -- and this would explain the difference!
BUT I don't see the same problem on any other streamers or youtubers, so probably there is some conflict with my O.S. or specs which I can't figure out. What I can say for sure is that I don't meet this problem when registering with LWS.
I must make it work also on OBS expecially when I know that it isn't an hardware limitation since, like I said, on LWS I don't see the same problem (unless the problem is there also with LWS and ti has a integrated deinterlace algorithm that removes it).
A second theory that could cause the problem is that the anti-flickering option inside Logitech Software isn't working enough, and it leaves a tiny flickering which is visible (Tried 50hz, 60 hz or leaving it deactivated, still problem remains either with artificial or solar enlightenment).
Of course the difference ins't huge guys, but it's clearly visible when having the webcam at 1080p fullscreen (still present with other resolutions).
I want to dig into this problem as anybody of you would I guess. I would post device info from LWS property panel, but they both coincide.
For now I'll post OBS' webcam settings.

Tell me if u need other things. I guess I have to post two video for comparison and I'm gonna do it if needed, it's just I didn't want to show my face (which sounds retarded since I'm gonna stream soon with it).
I tried ffdshow and the W7DSfilterTeaker but I didn't manage to do anything, except for improving the MJPG output format which is good but it didn't solve my problem.
Putting deinterlace harmonization x2 makes this problem less impactful, but you can still see it. I would like to solve this problem from its source.
I really hope that somebody of you already had this problem cause it's pretty strange and I spent already so much time on it. :(
