Bug Report FIXED OBS Crashing With Elgato

I've been a huge supporter of OBS since day 1, been using it for over 2 years now and only recently have I been running into issue's running it with my Elgato Game Capture HD. Everytime I seem to preview a scene including my Elgato it suddenly crashes without fail everytime. Now this wasn't an issue is past updates of both OBS and Elgato software so I'm curious to see why this problem has arised recently not only for me, but other Elgato user's across the globe seem to be having similar issues lately and i'm wondering if it directly connected to something you guys did in a recent update, or if it's something i installed on my end that is causing the issues.

Take note that these issues do not happen when i try to capture my elgato with xsplit, only with OBS atm so obviously it's not something I've installed recently otherwise in theory it wouldn't work with either program so I'm quite curious to find out what is causing the issue to happen at this point cause I'd much rather be using OBS > XSplit.

On OBS this is what the error pops up as.

Issue Fixed!

Now as stupid as this sounds it looks like this is the problem.

If Aero Mode is disabled you must re-enable it! I spent many hours thinking that the logs were wrong and that I had it enabled when in reality they were still disabled even after applying an aero theme it does not reactivate the correct settings!

Steps taken to fix this issue.

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

Step 1: Click Start Menu and type Aero.
Step 2: Click Find and Fix transparency and other visual effects.
Step 3: Allow application to fix aero mode settings.

OBS / Elgato issue's Fixed! Hopefully this helps anyone else with similar issues recently and who know if you're OBS is crashing without an Elgato try this fix and maybe it'll solve your issue regardless its worth a try and if it works then all power to you guys!
