Hello, TheIronPirate here. Back a year ago or so, I came around to get some help on setting up OBS for streaming for the first time. Here is a current list/summary of my computer:

Intel Core i5 4690k @ 3.9 Ghz (Turbo Mode)
Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3 motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 24 GB @ 1600 mhz (2 8 GB modules and two 4 GB modules)
Gigabyte Radeon R9 380 Windforce 4GB

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4569333959 - This is my SpeedTest results as of today.

With all that aside, what is the best recommended settings for me to stream with? I am seeking to do a variety of things to do while streaming, so any suggestions I will take!

720p 60FPS 2000kbps+ bitrate, x264 preset depends on the game. You have a K-CPU and a Z-Board, i expect anyone to overclock it as high as it gets. 24GB of RAM is actually overkill :P

Just check your CPU usage while recording with OBS with the usual settings, if you dont hit like 80-90% of your CPU usage - you are good to go. 1080p 60FPS is impossible with the i5, even overclocked to 4,6 or higher, so stick with 720p.

Well, 8 of that 24 GB came from my old build. 16 I bought for under 90 dollars.

I will try out what you said and I will post back with some results :D!
