Figuring out best 4K recording settings with AMD set-up

Hi all,

Getting into game recording but unfortunately my rig was built before I got into it and it's AMD-centred, specifically:

- Ryzen 5 7600X
- RX 7900 XT

Looking to do 4K recording at an upper source limit of 60fps on a 4K monitor, but 30fps would be entirely appropriate for playback. This is for YouTube (I know I know.)

My experience is that 4K footage even on undemanding games comes up very lossy - so does anyone have a similar set up and advanced settings for recording in 4k? No need for streaming setups at the moment. If it's unfeasible with the setup, please do shout!

Cheers!

I have an RX7800XT, and record with the AMD HW encoder at 1440p60, so I'm not sure how useful this will be for you, but the following settings serve me well:

I split the recordings up in 15 minute segments, you can easily combine them in LosslessCut for example. But you don't have to do that.

Maybe a more experienced user can tell if these settings are really good, but they served me well.
