Question / Help Extremely Bassy Audio

The video sounds just fine to me.

Realtek drivers on streaming computer have no effect for capture card's HDMI input audio.

OBS supports recording and streaming audio at only 2 channel stereo.

EDIT: I first checked using only a laptop speakers, but after I listen again using headphones this time, i can hear the excessive bass. The problem is probably the gaming computer. What kind of audio output system you have on the gaming computer? Stereo or 7-channel surround?

I am using a soundblaster Zr soundcard with only my headphones attached. The audio to my stream PC is coming directly from the capture card's HDMI

How is your microphone hooked up? Your voice is good, the game and other player's voice have too much bass.

What capture card you using? Maybe show us your OBS log file as it does display some of the streaming computer setup.

Edit:: Try going to control panel, sound, then right click and do "Configure Speakers" choose "Stereo"?

I checked, it was at 5.1 Surround, switched to stereo; no change

I am using an AverMedia Gamer HD

I tried recording with RECentral and its still like this, so it's not directly related to OBS

The problem might be the gaming computer's HDMI audio output. Did you go to control panel, sound, and set to "Stereo" on gaming computer?

If that don't fix anything, maybe switch audio hookups? Audio out (green) from gaming computer can be plugged into streaming computer's line in (blue), and then maybe use headphone splitter. Or, on streaming computer, control panel, sound, double click speakers, and it might have an option to do lag-free audio pass through if "line in" listed in levels.

I swapped out video cards for other reasons and still have the same issues, and yes I switched it on the gaming computer.

May need to figure out which computer or device is the problem. Try different games? If you have another computer, video game console, or something that outputs HDMI (no HDCP) that can plug into capture card, try testing that?
