Question / Help Exclude sources from recording

Hello all,

I use OBS a lot for streaming my gameplay to my followers. For them I have some sources added like for example follower notifications and on screen chat and whatnot.
Now, I also use OBS for recording my gameplay.. The downside to this is, it also records the chat and the notifications.
It is possible to exclude (some) sources from being recorded?
If not, is it planned to implement this?

I do want to keep some sources in my recording for example my logo in the lower left corner.
And I would prefer not to use any other software than OBS due to CPU/Harddisk bottlenecks.
I have tried ShadowPlay, but that doesn't allow my game to be recorded when I have it in window mode.
Also I have tried dxtory but the filesize of those recordings are huge!

I would really love to see some way to use OBS for everything and not showing everything in the recordings.

I do not think you can separate what is streamed and what is recorded without having two instaces of OBS. that being said, I think OBS studio is deving multistream. but it is very beta and not necessarily what you are wanting to do.

OBS studio is early enough in Dev that I would request this "feature" but I dont think you'll get what you want without having 2 versions of OBS open.
