Am pleased to report, as per the title of this post, that after installing the latest upgrades to both MacOS and OBS all seems to be working fine on my M1 Mac mini and Mac Studio — including NDI. After the other upgrades, I installed the NDI 4.5.1 runtime first, then OBS-NDI 4.10.0. With many thanks to Mr. Palakis for all the updates and support.

P.S. No problem with Display Capture, either, provided you delete and re-do any existing Display Capture sources. Thereafter they are remembered.

Sure, but what do you want to know more about?

way above did not work for me.
even with plain vanilla environment.

following steps worked fine for me to get it up and running with M1, MAC OS Ventura 13.1 (as of Jan 2023)
1. Install latest ndi tools package https://www.ndi.tv/tools/
2. install obs latest version https://obsproject.com/
3. install obs ndi 4.10.0 https://github.com/Palakis/obs-ndi/releases
4. terminal execution:
sudo cp "/Applications/NDI Video Monitor.app/Contents/Frameworks/libndi_advanced.dylib" "/usr/local/lib/libndi.4.dylib"
5. restart
6. run obs first time with configuration assistant

eveything is up & running, works as expected

so I followed this and was able to get video but the audio is noise. Checking NDI studio monitor, the audio is normal. Does anyone have info on what to fix?

Strange. Tried that with the same versions (except I have Ventura 13.0.1) on an M1 and it still doesn't show ist. What was the point about starting with configuration assistant? Is that necessary? And what exactly would you need to do there that has a relevance for getting NDI back up? I didn't do that because I am not sure, I want to risk changing my configuration in an unexpected way.

Hi, please help me out with why OBS won't run on my Mac? I've downloaded both versions, have no idea what NDI is??

Those who can read and have enough sleep have an advantage. I overlooked that one needs to install obs-ndi-4.10.0-Qt6-macOS.pkg first. And I also had another dylib in a different location. Configuration assistant plays no role indeed.

It's working for me except when I record a NDI-source, then the sound is chopped into small peaces. Will somebody please help me to be able to record and stream the NDI-source with sound :?)
The preview of the sound sounds perfect, it is only when I record or stream.
A workaround is using NDI Virtural Input.

I'm having an issue where I can see the video feed in NDI Video Monitor but the feed is not appearing when I select NDI Video in OBS. Does anyone know how to fix this?

With my Macbook pro M1 2020, MacOS Ventura 13.2.1 doesn’t work, tryed with version 29.0.0 until the last version, tryed ndi-runtime-4.5.1-macOS until 5.0.10 and nothing, the NDI source there isn’t.
Someone can help me?
I need to use OBS for streaming my Ps5 games with Elgato HD60x
thank you guys
