Hello, Bonjour,

I downloaded OBS for the first time yesterday on my PC, but it really goes wrong.
Everytime i need to click in a folder or a button, it stops. OBS is still running, but i cannot do anything like if it was freezing.
I need to Ctrl Alt Sup every time.

OBS is 23.1.0 (64 bits, Windows)
Windows is Windows 10 Pro (1803 version)

Thx in advance

What is the CPU temp when it freezes? Can you check task manager and check what is CPU utilization? What kind of graphics card are you using? Normally, as soon as OBS is launched, if system freezes, it would mean that your GPU is not taking the load (which it should) and all processing is going to CPU.

I will check CPU temperature asap when i'll be back from work, but i think it is below 50°C, this is a very high end PC, the GPU is a 1080TI 11 Go and the system has 16Go DDR4 RAM at 3000ghz.

The PC does not crash, only OBS, i can lauch any windows app.
When i open OBS, the main window is opening but i when i click for the first time anywhere in the OBS windows, it freezes OBS and i cannot do anything, and i have to quit from task manager.

Couple if repeat questions from my last post.
Can you check task manager and check what is CPU utilization?
What kind of graphics card are you using?

As mentioned earlier: Normally, as soon as OBS is launched, if system freezes, it would mean that your GPU is not taking the load (which it should) and all processing is going to CPU.

Akshay
