Question / Help Every 30 Seconds a Lag?

Hi there, i am a little confused with my Stream. I constantly get the hint from viewers, that my stream is lagging out every 30 seconds and i cant get my settings correctly why it is so.

I am using latest OBS 64bit
CBR is at 3700
Puffer set to 12000

the video is downscaled to 720p and my CPU is at about 40-70% usage, never more.

I never feel any Lags and OBS has never dropped a Frame for me. Connection is ALWAYS green with 3500-4200kb.

While checking my own Stream with my Windows Phone i also saw that the Stream constantly stopped ... sometimes it continued after 5-10 Seconds, sometimes even after 3 Minutes not continuing. When i startet the stream again from hand it instantly worked fine again.

If you wanna check some of my Streams http://www.twitch.tv/plitzkrieg/ but i cant seem to find any lags, except when i am tapping out, but that is not related to the viewerlags at all.

I wonder what settings i could check or change to get it constantly working. What cbr is needed to get a good picture with 720p/30fps? is my cbr to high thus lagging out or to low, so that not everything gets transmitted?

3700kbit/s is very high for 720p30, too high for many viewers. You can do 720p30 fine at 2500 (x264 veryfast). Is there any reason for the custom buffer size? I would recommend not setting a custom one.

so i can get a clear picture with 2500 without any bad compresions etc? wow ;) i will try it! i was thinking when i puffer more of the video i can get around the lags. was just trying some things out. nothing worked.

will try today with 2500 and wait if there are still complaints about the lags. thanks for the very fast answer!

i actually just tried to increase my cbr ... never thought of lowering it ... i am not very smart :D
