Question / Help Encoding Overloaded when Recording Quality is "High Quality, Medium File Size"

Hi there!

So I've been having the Encoding Overloaded error whenever I record with Recording Quality on "High Quality, Medium File Size." I did try prioritizing OBS Studio in Task Manager, which helped a lot, but it continued happening, just less frequently. I've also tried switching between NVENC and x264, that didn't really change anything. My PC hardware is brand new. I'm hoping someone can help because I'm totally useless with this stuff. :')

I have no idea if the specs are included in the log file, so I'll drop them here just in case.

Windows 10
GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS Motherboard
NVIDIA Geforce RTZ 2080Ti GPU
Intel Core i9-9900K Desktop CPU
32GB RAM
1TB SSD (with OS on a separate 128GB SSD)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would hate to turn the quality back down. Thanks so much!

Just use NVENC as the recording encoder. That should not run into any sort of encoding overload at all, and will still let you use x264 for your stream encoder. The last test in your logs showed no encoding issues with the recording, and very few frames lost due to encoding lag on the stream.

My last stream on the log is when I turned the settings back down to "Medium Quality." :( But I will try NVENC again, thank you!
