I appreciate the effort but this still doesn't work for me in the latest OBS version as of this post. Doesn't show up and trying to use the preview just crashes OBS.

Okay so it does seem to work but attempting to use the output preview will immediately crash OBS.

Could you please supply a copy of the OBS crash logs?

Go to the Help menu > Crash Reports > Upload Previous Crash Report a popup will come up with a link you can copy into your post here.

I can confirm I'm running the current version without seeing any crashes on preview etc at present (using an Nvidia card) and have confirmation of it working across multiple cards in the 40XX and 50XX series range but I don't have access to hardware to test other platforms at present (AMD/Intel).

My stream immediately ends when switching to a scene with ROI enabled.

Hey Everyone,

I was also affected so I've made a patch for this and sent the PR to the original maintainer but in short, there was a change to the FFmpeg version bundled with OBS, requiring a change to the original version.

If you want just the fixed version, I've placed it here (you can either copy over the dll on it's own or copy the whole folder) but I've also gone ahead and fixed some of the other minor issues: ROI-Editor v1.2.0 (fixes OBS 32.2.X crash)

And because I had some more time, I did a seperate release and added some features in my own forked version - feel free to send me some feature requests if you have any and I'll try and get them merged back to the original if the dev is still around:

- OBS 32.2.1 compatibility (deps refresh, current plugintemplate cmake, Qt 6.11 fixes)
- Direct manipulation in the preview: drag to create, move and resize regions
- Scene item regions that track live mid-stream, group-aware, plus manual regions pinnable to an item
- Center focus with separate X/Y radii
- An image-mask region type (greyscale image drives the ROI, hot-reloaded when the file changes)
- Per-region hotkeys and an obs-websocket vendor API
- A stepped heatmap with a block histogram, and output scaling support (the old "scaling not
supported" limitation is gone)

hey man, i tried using your version of the ROI editor with my 9070XT and it kept freezing OBS when id try and record or stream when using AMD HW AV1, AMD HW HEVC and also AMD HW H.264. x264 works fine but i dont want to stream or record on that encoder. i am also on OBS version 32.2 atm :D
