I don't know if there really is a proper place for this, as it's not a problem with OBS. But I'm just wondering if someone knows where to find a technical guide for removing background noise from the mic.
I used to use my Logitech G35 headset when I would want to broadcast my voice, but it's busted up and duct taped together. So not only is it not aesthetically pleasing, but also not very comfortable to wear. But when using it, I guess it's got a higher quality mic, because you don't hear my ceiling fan or computer fans in my broadcasts.
I've recently switch to using a USB SoundBlaster audio card and am using headphones to listen to audio and using my webcam mic for voice. Now in my broadcasts I can hear the hum from my computer (it's got 5 fairly large fans in it). Is there some kind of software or some technique to remove this sound? I'm up for getting a new mic, but I'm not sure if that would take care of it.
The sound card does have noise filter options, but only if you use their proprietary dual mic headset, and it has to be connected to the mic input jack of the sound card. So this doesn't work with a USB mic.
