I apologize if this question has been asked before.
I am considering getting an Elgato Game Capture to stream via twitch and record some game play. I know this isn't new or anything, I just had one concern. I have seen others use this method and their game play is not synced with their webcam. I know I can delay my webcam in OBS, but after a quick google I found some users have said that the amount of time for the game play to appear on screen changes throughout sessions. I imagine this is because they were using a VBR for their encoding so when the recording bitrate is low the video catches up to real time a little. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I have seen that there is a CBR option in the Elgato software, does this alleviate the varying lag?
Thanks in advance.
