Question / Help Elgato Not Responding or Working

It's not a black screen on the Elgato, I followed all the steps, but it still does this one thing.
When I open up Elgato Game Capture software, it says the device is in use by another application.
But when I close the elgato software, it says One Moment Please... and then No Signal...
Please help, it's been doing this on Xsplit and every other streaming software i've tried!

If anyone has a way to fix, please tell me. And Yes I have tried re-installing drivers, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, and I am running windows 64 bit.

If the problem is happening even in Elgato's own software, then you should probably contact Elgato support regarding the issue. If that isn't working, third party software like OBS probably isn't going to work either.

It's working normally in the Elgato Software.

That doesn't really sound like "working normally" does it? Maybe you could clarify what you mean.

Ok, what I mean is, when nothing else using the program is open, it works normally. I just can't open any other programs or everything just messes up and doesn't work properly.

That sounds normal, only one program can use the Elgato at a time. If you run the Elgato software then it's considered "in use" and other programs won't be able to access it. You need to close the Elgato software completely before trying to use OBS.

Yes but when I close Elgato Software It just says One Moment Please... then No Signal...

Hmm, I would in this case either give the whole PC a reboot or un-plug, re-plug the elgato while all software is closed.
Then only start OBS and try to configure it as described in this guide:

So... Now it's working, after I turn on the OBS software, then turn on the console, but everything on my tv and the OBS has a really bright pink tint.

Here should be the fix for the pink tint issue: Update Game Capture HD firmware.

if your on PS3 and youve setup the elgato on the PS3 in 1080p it wont work because it only works in 1080i. 1080i is its maximum recording.
