Had it setup fine before with an HD60, but haven't used in awhile. Just installed the new Capture card tonight and am stumped. Hope someone can help me out, and a very big thank you in advance.

Not uploading the pic for some reason but in the device drop down the only thing listed when I choose add Video Capture device is "Elgato Helper Device (unavailable)"

Yes I have I was streaming using it before I tried setting it up in OBS. I can stream using my monitor capture Scene, but the new Pro won't show up to add. Maybe try reinstalling OBS?

Also, are you running OBS 32-bit or 64-bit? Last I knew, the default Elgato software only provided 32-bit support; the 64-bit was a separate software package. If you're running 64-bit OBS, and only have the 32-bit Elgato software running, it would not appear on the list.

I finally got it to read the Elgato in the device pull down it was actually the opposite problem. I had the Elgato software running 64bit, and OBS in 32bit. Haven't had a chance to test it yet as I'm at work, but will when I get home.

What would a good speed to run my stream at seeing as how I only have a max 3mbps upload?

2000kbps is the max advised for non-Partnered Twitch streams.
A 720p@30fps stream fits into this bitrate budget nicely, or if you're playing a retrogame where sprites disappear or stay solid when flashing on-screen, you can drop to 480p@60fps to properly cap the blitting effect.

Thanks again for your reply...I'll mostly be streaming Black Ops 3 via PS4 along with some H1Z1 and Minecraft via PC.

The now default 64bit Elgato software download includes the 32bit drivers as well, so it should still work.

Not sure why it didnt in this case.
