So, i have followed all instructions to set up the Elgato Game Capture HD for streaming. As well as for just recording game footage in general. Now, for some reason when i try to stream Wii footage on OBS I get no signal on both my TV screen and on OBS. I honestly have no idea what I did wrong (Since i followed all the instructions carefully) Can someone please help me?

Elgato support in OBS is 720P only at the moment. SD capture is currently not supported, but is being worked on.

I'm assuming OBS recognizes the Elgato as 720p but when connecting a Wii through component (not composite) it's being output at 480i/p depending on HD CRT or HD Flatscreen. Shouldn't the Wii be sending the same signal to the Elgato?

I have just started streaming and I understand the basic principals of OBS but the software could not recognize the Elgato Capture HD. I know realize that I need to open the 32-bit version of OBS but I can't figure out how to do that on my MacBookPro

@Connor B Please create your own thread in the future, this one hasn't been replied to since July 2014 and isn't about OBS Multiplatform.

To answer your question Elgato does not provide proper avcapture drivers for MacOS so there is no way to use it with OBS currently other than capturing Elgato's own software.
