Question / Help Elgato HD vs HD60

Hello everyone. I'm a big fan of using OBS, and I'm really curious on which capture card would work best for me to live stream my Wii U in 1080P and which card is most stable between the two. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about the HD60, but that was back in August when it first came out. Is OBS stable with the new HD60 nowadays or am I better off getting the original old HD model? I'm hoping to get the HD60 since its the newest model and to future proof the ability of being able to stream at 60 fps, but if its too buggy with OBS I'm not sure I want it.

I tried the Avermedia Game Broadcaster HD (C127) and was not happy with the results! I'm hoping to be careful for my next capture card investment.

Thanks guys!

P.S.
Also I checked the system requirements for the HD60 and saw it required a second gen i7 processor for 1080P capture but my PC is currently using a first gen i7 processor (i7 960 clocked at default 3.2ghz) Would that be an issue?

I would always pick a PCI-E capture card over a USB 2.0 one, they are more reliable and don't need to pre-compress the video stream to transport it to the computer over a slow USB 2.0 connection.

What issues do you have with the C127?
Your CPU should be fast enough to encode 1080p with OBS with at least 30 fps.

Please post a Log of a streaming/recoding session with your C127 and we can check for problems.

I already returned the C127, drivers were failing to install on my PC for some reason and would just get a green screen on both Avermedia capture software and on OBS. Theres no way to troubleshoot it now :P As for the slow USB 2.0 connection, I'm still ok with. I'm not worried about game input delay as I will be playing my Wii U on my HDTV with my computer running the streaming software in the background.
