Question / Help Elgato HD 60 - no sound with only OBS / OBS MP

Hello,

i encountered the problem, that OBS and OBS MP (both last versions) do not get the sound from the Elgato HD 60. Both the Elgato Software and XSplit (which i used to check if something with my driver settings is wrong) do have both picture and the sound. That brings me to the point that the problem has to be withing the OBS / OBS MP or some driver/lib that this program uses.

My setup is: Game-PC => Elgato (sound via HDMI or analog does not matter, tested both) => Laptop (streaming PC)

As the video and sound reach the Laptop perfectly, my Game-PC can not be the problem, leaving the Laptop, which is a brand new MSI G72 with Win 8.1, latest win update, latest drivers (realtek, nVidia, ...) and latest OBS software.

What i tried in OBS settings for the Elgato Source is: Audio to stream and Audio to desktop. None of the setting changes anything. If i feed in the audio via analog Line-In (not via Elgato) the OBS does pick up the sound as the source is Line-In and not Elgato anymore.

I have realy no more clue what may be the source of this problem.
 
Do you have "With Analog Audio" checked in the elgato window in the properties of the elgato source?
 
Thx for your answer, but no that is not the problem as both Elgato Softare and XSplit have not any problem. Also there is no more "With Analog Audio" checkbox in the Elgato Software Settings, but a dropdown box to either choose HDMI or Analog as Audio input. And there is NO problem with the sound recording it self, it is OBS that does not catch the sound that is recorded by Elgato.

It does not matter if i use the Analog input and set Elgato to Audio via analog or use the HDMI Audio and set Elgato to HDMI as input source for the Audio. In both cases Elgato and XSplit do record the sound, but not OBS. And in the OBS Software there is nothing i can setup to select the sound source for Elgato (if you hit config in the Video Capture Settings for Elgato in the OBS Software, sometimes the settings for Elgato open, most times not, and there is NO sound setting shown).


As i said above, the problem seems to be, that OBS does not take the sound from Elgato HD60 in a correct way ... Maybe some kind of driver messup.
 
Salut ! Désolé, je ne parle pas anglais mais j'ai trouvé la solution pour toi car j'ai eu le même problème.
En fait, j'ai pu constaté que le With Analog n'est pas présent dans les dernière version de Elgato, j'ai un HD60 et la dernière mise a jour ne me le permettez pas.
Alors j'ai tout désinstaller puis j'ai télécharger une vielle version de Elgato et xsplit.
La j'avais accès a With analog que j'ai coché de suite, a partir de la j'ai fait la mise a jour et depuis tout est correct.

J’espère que cela pourra t'aider
