Question / Help Elgato Gradual Delay (audio/gameplay)

This has been a problem for me for a while, but I still haven't been able to find a definitive "cure" for it. When I restart my console, it fixes the problem only temporarily, but it would then proceed to have the gradual gameplay/audio desync again. It gets worse and worse the longer I am streaming. My mic and cam is fine though. Here is my OBS log, hopefully someone could help!!

Start by lowering your webcam resolution to 720p. If that doesn't help, try removing the camera from your scene completely. If the problem is resolved at that point then the issue is most likely related to USB bandwidth and you'll want to test a different USB port for the camera.

Do you think that would fix the game capture audio desync though? Because my camera and mic are both fine the whole time. It is just the game capture and audio from the game that gradually desyncs.

Usually a hub controls two pairs of USB 2.0/3.0 slots. Put the webcam in one set of 2, and the Game Capture in another set of 2.

I can't deal with OBS anymore man. It's great for PC but with my Elgato, I CAN NOT FIX THIS ISSUE. I have no idea why. It does it on local recording as well! I really want to get back into Youtube but I can't since this is apparently unfixable. Someone please help. This is my last log from recording Shadow of Mordor. https://gist.github.com/5b97cdb20561f9352878

TbestiaC - If you're meaning the elgato's audio/video are going out of sync, then try their latest drivers: http://thc.elgato.com/download_egc2.php

If you are meaning something like "my webcam/mic are no longer in sync with the device, but individually those things are in sync", then that's a completely separate issue.

(Have I mentioned that I feel physical pain when I see a USB 2.0 capture device being used on a desktop computer?)

lol Yeah I know, but I can't use a PCI-E Capture Device because I only have one slot in my motherboard. I downloaded the newest version and I'll let you know how it goes when I record on Saturday. I thought I had read on another post that the Elgato Game Capture HD should still use the old software but the Elgato60 should use the newest. I'll let you know how it goes. And if there is a way to split the audio tracks, that would fix it on local recordings.

I've been experiencing the same issue :( I have an Elgato Game Capture HD, and things are great initially. After just 30 minutes, there is drift between the what's happening on the screen and the sound (the sound is delayed).

XSplit doesn't seem to have this issue, but I have another set of problems with it that I won't get into :) OBS is great otherwise, I just wish this worked. :(
