Question / Help Elgato Game Capture HD

So im recording gameplay from my computer. Using the Elgato software to do so doesnt record the game audio. So i decided to use OBS instead. I love the program, have been using it with previous vids and streams, but when i record with the elgato as my capture card my video is a second or 2 behind the audio. Is there a fix for this. If so can someone please explain in depth, Im not amazing at this stuff yet.

Is this a single-PC setup? If so, a capture card would be useless in this circumstance.

Well then i guess using this for my computer is pointless then lol. Guess i was told the wrong information from somebody

I am able to see multiple people doing it on youtube though.

On a single-PC setup, capture cards do nothing. They perform worse than Game Capture and Window Capture with Aero enabled. In both cases, you're still encoding with x264 to do the encoding, not the capture card. Just because people on YouTube are doing it doesn't mean it's a good idea.
