Question / Help Elgato Game Capture HD help!

I am on PS3 trying to use video capture device instead of monitor capture/window capture because they kind-of lag elgato while I stream. I click preview stream and click properties for the video capture device. Then I click configure and everything on the Elgato config is blank - because it didn't detect the game capture device plugged in.. I am very confused and I would like to make this work.

Alright, what happened with me with this and figuring it out. You need to use the 32 bit version and make sure the Game Capture HD software isn't running at the time. Once you get there you should be able to edit what you need.

If what I said didn't make sense just post a reply and I'll do screenshot by screenshot to make it a little easier since sometimes my explanations are a bit of beating around the bush.

As i said above, it still wont find it... Anything I'm missing? Elgato software is not running.

You must be sure to choose the proper one.

PS3 is always component.
 
I dont know if you understand though. It has been telling me "No Signal" and on the Elgato configure it says "No device found" And I cannot click on anything but some check boxes that do nothing...
 
I am having the same problem. When I start the elgato program, it detects the PS3, but when I go to configure it in OBS, the option is greyed out when the elgato window comes up. Or sometimes the elgato windows doesn't open.

I am using the component cables.
