Question / Help Elgato Chat Link Cable troubles hearing chat volume!

Whats up guys!

I'm a consistent streamer on Twitch who uses this program OBS! I've been trying to enhance my streams to make them more entertaining and professional lately. What I recently purchased was an Elgato Chat Link Cable that enables your recordings to record party/game chat on your Xbox One or PS4. The cable works fine on the elgato software itself, but problem is that I want to use the cable while live streaming, so my viewers can hear my friends talking in party chat, and all that. But for some reason, when setting up my live stream (my scenes, game capture, etc.) The stream doesn't pick up the game/party chat in stream. I use it with Turtle Beaches (XO Four Stealth). I dont know if i am possibly missing something to make chat volume come through while live streaming through OBS, or what. I hope I can find a solution soon!

@LtRoyalShrimp might have information if it's being plugged directly into the Elgato.

From what I can see though, it looks like you should be able to plug it into a motherboard soundcard Line In port, then add that Line In to OBS using the OBS DirectSound Audio Source plugin:

Or if you're on MP, just add it as a new audio source from the mixer pane.

so yea, downloading that plugin on the 32-bit OBS just managed to wipe out my webcam and elgato from even being shown on stream. Its now randomly unable to find my capture card and even use properties...
