Question / Help Elgato and OBS not working for me

When i hit preview stream on OBS with the elgato it shows up on the obs window but says this device is in use by another application and i have a computer that can handle it and stuff like that so idk why it wont work please help.
 
Do you have the elgato capture program open while trying to use it with OBS? If so, then close the elgato program before trying to use it with OBS.
