Hi,
I would like to start making tutorials about 3D printing tips and tricks. I use Blender for all of my 3D modeling and rendering. Because I am familiar with it I would like to use it as a video editor to make my tutorials.
I am currently running Fedora Linux. I tried to build OBS from source and was unsuccessful. When I tried to launch the program nothing happened. So I tried other screen capture software ( Recordmydesktop, Istanbul, and Fedoras embedded screen capture tool). Even attempting to reformat using FFmpeg, I have not been able to get a video format that I can edit with Blender.
I am about to make the switch to Ubuntu to use the stable build of OBS (and other reasons). Before I do can someone re assure me that I can edit videos directly from OBS with Blender. I am pretty sure I can but my confidence with video codes and formats is dwindling.
Thanks,
Kyle
