Question / Help Duo Stream/Capture Card Help

Hello, I'm wanting to start streaming both my fiance's game, and my game at the same time, We have two different PC's, and I have the streaming software(OBS) on my PC. I am wondering if I bought a capture card and hooked it up to her PC and ran it into my PC would I be able to show both screens on OBS, and broadcast it to Twitch? I have not experience with capture cards, or streaming two screens at once so any help, or advice would appreciated!

Also if anyone would like to suggest a capture cards below feel free, the two I'm looking at are:

  • Elgato - Game Capture HD60
  • AVerMedia-- GL710

I've never done it myself but I think the idea behind what you want to do should work in OBS. But the capture cards you list aren't very good. You're best off with an internal capture card using a PCIe slot. If you're on a laptop or for some good reason can't use a PCIe card, then you want a capture device that uses USB 3.0. Those are USB 2.0 devices and their quality is bad and they have latency issues. Not recommended.

The Avermedia Live Gamer HD (lite too) is a very solid internal card. If you must do a USB, then USB 3.0 devices like the Avermedia ExtremeCap U3 or the Micomsoft X-Capture 1 are your best bet. If you can't do either of these (no PCIe, no USB 3.0), then I would re-evaluate your plan and get a new computer, to be honest.
 
Another vote for the Live Gamer HD as a relatively inexpensive capture card solution. What you want to do will work fine; the capture card would be in your PC however (since you're the one running OBS), and your fiance's video output would go to the card, which would be added as a video capture device source.

Thank you both. I guess I should have included a bit more information. We're both using Laptop's. I have 4 USB 3.0 ports on mine. Though she has none, but since she only needs an HDMI, which she has would we still be okay with getting the Avermedia ExtremeCap U3?

My specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 670M
CPU: i7-3720QM @ 2.60GHZ
Memory: 16GB
Resolution: 1920x1080 @ 60HZ

I've never used the ExtremeCap U3 but I think it works alright. From reading the forums I think the X-Capture 1 is considered to be "better". For both of these USB 3.0 capture devices, you need to make sure the USB 3.0 chipset that you have is compatible... I don't recall the exact details but a quick forum search reveals that you need a Intel or Renesas USB 3.0 controller on your USB 3.0 chipset. Since you have a laptop you're pretty much stuck with whatever controller you have, of course.

Her laptop needs the ability to clone screens, so she can send one to a monitor and the other to the HDMI port that you cable to the capture device. If not that, then you'll need an HDMI splitter. Probably best to get a couple of monitors and test this beforehand.

I compared my chipset to the ones they have listed on their website, and says it's compatible.Her laptop can also duplicate her screen to another monitor.
