Question / Help Dual-PC Streaming Mono Audio Problem (Behringer Q802)

Hello guys,

I'm having an issue with a dual-pc streaming setup.... Here is how I have it setup:

The issue I am having is getting Stereo sound coming in from the Gaming computer. (I have tried not using the Hum eliminator just to rule it out)

What happens is that the only INPUT that works is the Left/Mono one. If I connect the white or red end on the Mono input, it works (on mono). Plugging either of them on the R/Stereo doesn't give any output at all.

Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks.

Try the line in on the back of the motherboard.

Normal headphone mic inputs are mono, line in is stereo.
Well, update to the issue...

The sound is coming in as Stereo, but using the button "To Phones/Ctrl-M" makes it go full mono. If I turn it off I can hear it stereo normally, but it doesn't output to OBS.

My head hurts already, not sure what to do. CS:GO on mono is hell.

The button "To Phones/Ctrl RM" would set the 2-Track (red/white) IN to go to your headphones/ctrl room. So you dont need that button at all.
I am wondering, where exactly do you get the mono output from CS:GO, in your headset or on the streaming pc?
You can configure the Microphone (the one from the Behringer that comes through USB) to Stereo, so you might want to check that.
I havent actually used my Q1002USB for PC sound yet, as I found it easier to have two audio tracks on the streaming pc (one being desktop sound, one being my voic), but in general your setup looks fine. If you get a mono signal in your Headset connected to the Mixer I would check if panning/balance has an effect on it and is set to the middle for your input 3/4.
I didnt really get the 4 RCA cables after the hum eliminator in your picture.

When not using "To Phones/Ctrl Room" the sound won't output to OBS.

About the RCA cables I just noticed how it looks, lol. It's Hum Eliminator -> Output RCA -> Mixer IN. Just a normal output, sorry about that.

I have found out a workaround for it by using 2-track input (this makes it stereo) and then using Ctrl-Room Out to the input of the Streaming PC soundcard.

The issue is:
Every INPUT goes MONO if Headphones/CtrlRoom is pressed. With it not pressed the sound is stereo.

The workaround I have now is still not ideal because if I want to add - say a mobile phone for music - it will be Mono too.

How do I NOT enable Ctrl-Room and still make it output via USB to Streaming PC?

Thanks for the attention so far!

Also, for the PAN suggestion, here is what happens:
The only input for 3-4 that works is the Mono one, however Red or White will work.

With white plugged in, sound comes from Left, and pan to right will mute it.
Plugging the red one in, sound comes from right, and pan to left will mute it.

Connecting any of them to the second input (Stereo) will cause no difference to sound at all.

Again, this is with Ctrl Room enabled.

I am really not sure then, the streaming pc should receive the sound of your gaming pc over the usb microphone device. And you should hear it in your headset without having to activate any button. :/

Another update sir.

The "To Phones/Ctrl-M" is for the 2-track input but also for the USB interface. In this case, I'd either have to not use the USB interface at all and rely on the IN's and Main-Out, but have stereo.

I would have to make the Streaming-PC output via a cable to a Mixer Input, then output back into the streaming PC so it could stream it.

God, this is such a huge mess. :(
