Question / Help Dual PC setup - Audio suggestions

So iv been struggling with the audio for few days. I finally managed to get sound to the streaming pc by two 3.5mm audio cables going from gaming pc -> avermedia -> streaming pc and setting up the stereo mix. But this cost me to lose mic from my usb headset.. So my guestion is how do you sort the audio out so that i can still use 7.1 surround from my gaming pc?

And yes im willing to buy more gear if thats what it requires but not to go back on stereo headphones thouse are just total shit after getting used to 7.1 surround that comes with corsair usb headsett.

You might be able to accomplish this using a program called Virtual audio cable. Also guessing you're using a HDMI input to the Avermedia device, that cable can carry audio as well, if you can have that "listen" to the output of the headphone device just from the windows settings and use one of the 3,5mm cables with a similar setting setup to carry mic audio to the stream pc you should be good.

Oki, I guess the easiest way would be to do it like this:
You could connect your 3.5mm Cable directly from your onboard soundcard to the Line-In on your Streaming PC. Then you open the properties of your Corsair Microphone in Windows, in the Listen tab activate listen to as you did on your stereomix, but this time select your HDMI Splitter in the Dropdown. I assume one of the two devices "CP9287-C" or "LSL 3230T-8" is a monitor and the other the Splitter?
On your streaming PC you would then get the PC sound using the Line-In into OBS and the Microphone sound over the Live Gamer Portable into OBS.

If you use VAC or VB-Cable you could probably even get rid of the 3.5 mm cable and send both sound sources over HDMI.

Yes i got two amilo lsl 3230t monitors and the one called CP9287-c comes trough HDMI splitter. Yes im not so good on english so i try to get understand on the setup you told. Iv tryed VAC but i really dont have any idea how to sett it up so i rather just buy and use few 3.5mm cables.

I havn't used the Corsair 1500 but if you go into "Recording Devices" and show all disabled connections to see if theres any sort of Stereo Mix or Wave Out for the headset. You can then set that to "Listen to" through the HDMI to the Avermedia.

If not, Try VoiceMeeter - (im sorry to everyone that I keep mentioning it I don't work for them lol)

You want your Corsair headset as "Hardware Input 1" and also Hardware Output A1"
In Playback Devices set Voicemeeter as the default
In Recording Devices set Voicemeeter > Listen on > HDMI to Avermedia

@Weznezz Is that VoiceMeeter like mixer but virtual on a PC? Does it make a virtual output device which we can connect by cables to other devices like streaming PC?

@Kepasa Yes, Voicemeeter is a virtual mixer, and works with virtual audio cables etc. Seems quite nice but I am also having a problem. I set VM input to default device, set up OBS with it selected as the sound device. When I mute the B1 output, it mutes every thing but the OBS stream. Nothing seems to change that not matter how I configure it. Any suggestions ??

Ok now i get the mic audio to streaming pc with 3.5mm from gaming pc soundcards green going to streaming pc green blug in its sound card. Corsair headset as default device. Corsair mic listening to CP9287-C (splitter). But now i wont get any other audio to stream pc + now im able to hear everything happening on streaming pc from my Corsar headset on my gaming pc.

Ok i got the audio going to streaming pc with VAC now and im able to use mic on my Gaming PC! (1 step closer to goal)
But still got issues getting mic sound to streaming pc it seems that my hdmi splitter wont let any audio trough it with hdmi cables.

What i would like to know is that if ill go and buy another 3.5mm audio cable hook that to my gaming pc pink mic plug and take that from there to streaming pc pink plugin and setup another VAC cable for it?

Hmm, mic plug to mic plug will not work in most cases as both are inputs. You need to combine an output on your gaming pc with an input on your streaming pc.
How do you have everything connected now and setup with VAC?

Im still running 2x 3.5mm audio cables from gaming pc to avermedia and from there to streaming pc input and using line in input on avermedia since i cant get the audio go trough hdmi with splitter.

OptionA: Go into the properties of your Microphone, listen tab, activate listen to this device and select your realtek speakers. That way both the desktop audio and your mic would be received on the streaming pc as one signal though.
OptionB: You grab Teamspeak and the Teamspeak Server. You connect with both PC's to that server, the gaming pc obviously inputs the microphone while the streaming pc listens to that. Delay will be minimal and you could use teamspeak push to talk or voice activation and noise filters.
OptionC: You get a second mic.
OptionD: If you have a further output available on your gaming pc, you could send the mic input to this output port using listen to and then connect this to the mic port on your streaming pc.

I still think you dont need to run 2x 3.5mm cables, you can either directly connect one cable from your gaming pc to the streaming pc line-in or you only need to connect it to the avermedia to grab the sound from it through obs.

Succes! with OptionA tho my friend told me game sound was good but mic was low volume any where to boost just that ?

With OptionA you would have to increase the mic volume on your gaming pc. Or you can lower the desktop sound in the Windows Soundmixer for the "Speakers" Realtek..

Yea i got mic maxed out on gaming pc from recording devices. The thing is that atm game sound volume is perfect but mic is low and by buddy maxed out his volume to be able to hear me witch caused cracling sound that was parly noticable before.

So if i lower speakers volume im still having the issue with noticable cracling noise :S

Hmm, then you might want to look into one of the other options, B/C and D will give you more options (for example using the microphone boost in obs).
