I would check youtube and or google setting it up. VAC is not the most easy to setup and takes some thought of how to set it up for what you want. Best bet is to experiment with VAC to get the result you want.

the important thing to remember with VAC is what you want in each "channel". I dont use it but @Weznezz uses a program called VoiceMeeter. Maybe he can help you set it up.

Hmm so i should have my capture card option on A2? Could it be that its not there becouse of the hdmi splitter ? Gaming pc-->hdmi splitter in-> 1 output to my main monitor / 2 output goes to my avermedia input thats how i got stuff hooked up.

make sure your audio sample frequency is the same across all devices (48kHz is the most popular for sound cards) OBS default I believe is 44.1kHz. set OBS to what your sound cards input and output are set to. not sure of there is an option in VoiceMeeter for audio sample...

Ok i got the sounds working now with this setup

3.5mm audio caple from my gaming pc to avermedia input -> another 3.5mm from avermedias output to streaming pc input. I swapped my usb headsett from default playback devise to 3.5mm speakers. On recording page in sett Stereo Mix as my default and its listening my usb headsett.

So now i can enjoy the 7.1 surround that comes with my corsair 1500 usb headsett stream hears everything from my gaming pc exept my mic. So what would be your suggestion to get the microphone added to stream too? 2nd microphone to streaming pc? and use teamspeak on both pc?

Without getting more equipment, you could install teamspeak on your streaming PC logged in as a second user, and mute everyone but yourself (as their mics will be on the gaming PC's stereo mix)

WDM. A1 set to your headset.

You have a capture card right? Going to the second PC? Set A2 to the HDMI audio.

I see you a lot on these forums and thought maybe you could help me. I am having issues getting sound to work on my streaming PC. When I hear the game audio and skype the stream isn't able to hear anything. When I messed with things in the playback tab and recording tab under sound the stream was finally able to hear the game audio but, they could not hear skype and I was also not able to hear anything. I hope that isn't too confusing.

This is how I have my set up right now.

  • I have a Behringer x1204usb that connects to my streaming PC via USB.
  • My mic in channel 1.
  • A TRS 3.5mm to dual 1/4" plugged into channel 5/6 that goes into the line out on sound card 1 in my gaming PC. This is for my gaming audio.
  • Another TRS cable plugged into channel 7/8 that goes into the line out on sound card 2 in my gaming PC. This is for skype.
  • The aux cable goes from my mixer to the mic in on sound card 2 in my gaming PC.
Do I have everything plugged in right? What needs to be set as default device and default communications under playback and recording tab for both gaming and streaming PCs? Finally, what should my audio settings be in OBS?

Also, I do have an Avermedia Live capture card and my headset is wireless (idk if that matters).
