Question / Help Dual CPU Setup - Requirements for good quality?

Hi !!

I have a PC that I am not using anymore, and I thought it would be cool using it as an encoder to stream to Twitch using OBS.
I plan on buying an AverMedia Live Gamer HD capture card for that PC so it captures the image from my gaming PC. I am worried if my streaming PC has enough power to output a nice quality, since the processor is not that great..

My encoding PC specs: AMD FX-6100 3.3ghz / GTX 570 / 16g RAM

I wish to stream 720p @ 60fps for CSGO with nice quality. Do you guys think the FX-6100 is enough for that?

You'll probably have the same performance as running a single PC setup with a good CPU.

I have a dedicated 4790k @ 4.6Ghz to stream CS:GO @ medium preset and it still struggles a bit, anything below that in quality (Fast, Faster) just aren't worth having a second PC for IMO.

I often think of the AMD FX series 6core CPUs as somewhere around what a low-end i5 can do. when overclocked, it is about where an i5's performance, but watch your temps. I would say, dedicated, with a good overclock, it might be able to do 720@60 veryfast preset, but barely.

A better target would be 720@30 even dedicated and OCd, then you might be able to drop the CPU preset a bit, but that is a decent sized "maybe"
