Question / Help Dropping tons of frames and getting 'disconnected by server'

This is a very strange issue I'm having. I know many say that streaming over wireless is a no-no, but with that aside I have pretty great internet speed at home. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4199388990

Good enough to where I never have a problem doing anything else online ever. But for some reason when I stream, every 20 minutes or so I drop all of my frames and then eventually get disconnected. I believe it has something to do with the fact that my router is upstairs and a bit a ways away from me and just that it's a wireless connection.

Any recommendations on what to do? I really want to have a wired connection but there's no way since the modem is all the way upstairs. Someone told me to get a high quality gaming router to connect to my modem and that will help, any thoughts on this?

as you already said ... "streaming over wireless is a no-no" in this case and the the way you explained your problem its pretty much the fact that you are trying to stream over wireless, you could try using a direct ehternet connection and see if that fixes your problem

also ALWAYS add a log so we can see whats going on.

by the way if a direct connection doesnt fix the problem we really need a log and the problem will probably be with your isp
