Question / Help Dropping Frames on Every US Server

To start, here are my speed test results:

SpeedOf.me: http://speedof.me/result/150613120752-86673.png

I have been running a test stream with Twitch saying my streaming settings are set at 'excellent', for a few minutes now, it has been dropping nearly 70% frames with this setup. In the bottom corner it has red latency with around 1200-1900 kbps. Here is the log file: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/25201cc54eccbb995a1c

My bitrate is set at 3500 (tried setting it lower as well just to try), despite my upload speeds I'm recording with the different websites.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try this and Post a screenshot of the results.

Your Log seems to be not an completly logfile.

Oops, forgot to link this in the original: http://i.imgur.com/wt3EdQr.png

And my log file is just the results of the most recent stream. I can post the full log file, but it spans a long while of me messing around with different settings (https://gist.github.com/20ef0884332a2966db5f)

As per someone on the TL forums, I'm running the Bandwidth test with a higher TCP window size, will post results as well.

The quality on every Server isnt that good. I whould say, 2400bitrate on San Jose Server brings the best Result. But as u sayed, u try that already.

Ur Bitrate of 3500 match only on New York and Ashburn Server.

Anyway, 3500bitrate are restricted unless u are partnered with twitch.

I think its an issue between u, ur ISP and twitch.

NOTE: This thread contains EVERY piece of dropped frames advice we can give. If you really truly honestly super duper actually 100% tried everything in this thread (including replacing hardware), and you STILL have issues then the problem is somewhere along the route between you and whichever server you are trying to stream to. In this case, there will not be anything you can do to resolve the issue as an end user

But let us see, if another one here has any other ideas.

Banwidth test looks even better. Maybe change this tcp settings with an TCP optimizer could help. but unfortunately I am not familiar with it.

I tried switching to Hitbox streaming and it's working just fine. So looks like it's an issue with Twitch?

I think they are only two ways.

Switch to hitbox.
Change the ISP.

U Can Report youre ISP from this issue. But i dont know if he want or be able to help. In most cases, routing Problems cant fix by the end User.

Could it have to do with my router? I tried bypassing my router and plugging my computer directly into the modem.. it'll flash yellow and red latency for a second while streaming, has only dropped about 1% frames so far..

I have a Netgear Nighthawk R6700.

Try a longer Stream without ur Router. If that helps, it seems to be a Bad Config of it. Or even a shitty Router ;)

Hope that was finally the bad guy and u can stream without issuse now.

I've been streaming for over an hour now and have only dropped 2.5% frames plugged directly into the modem.

Do I need to open any ports on my router?

I would personally just reboot the router and plug back into it. issues like this range from ISP issues, to network card drivers, to router has been up for to long.

The router has been reset several times over the past few days while I've been trying to fix this issue.

Plugged my ethernet back into the router and am immediately back to dropping 20%..

Do you have QoS enabled on the router? I would disable this if so, QoS can interrupt the constant upload that streaming needs. I would also check your cable, since your connection to your router is only 100mbps. This might not sound like an issue, but it shows me something is different.

No, all settings revolving around QoS are disabled.

What are you seeing different? It's the same cable that I was able to stream with a bitrate of 4500-5500 before Twitch started to restrict non-partners.

usually gigabit NICs connect at 1000Mbps is all. since I am not able to be there to test, I rely on small hints of issues. Its just something to check.

a bad cable can cause some dropped packets and might be why your NIC is only at 100 instead of 1000.

Actually, I tried turning my bitrate WAYY down, and it seems to be okay..

I have the same problem, I've been streaming perfectly good the last 3 or 4 days and now all of the sudden I have major frame drop and constant red square next to my kbp/s
