Question / Help Dropping Frames Like its Hot :(

Before OBS updated to .59, everything was fine. I was streaming at 3500kbs and there was no lag or dropped frames. Now, I feel like I'm Oprah, "You get Frame, And you get a frame, EVERYONE GETS a FRAME!" and that's not how I should feel. I'm currently running the test build as of today to see if it worked any better. NOPE! I love the software, its been great up until now.

SO going through my logs, I've found a little problem (using .60 test build) Here is one of the lines that keep coming up
"00:10:01: Audio timestamp for device 'Logitech HD Webcam C510' was behind target timestamp by 90"
and in .59 (before i changed some stuff around (might have had ISP issues that night as well)
"00:06:15: RTMPPublisher::SocketLoop: Stalled for 1553 ms to write 466168 bytes (buffer: 0 / 467968), unstable connection?"

Here is a link of a short video I made to show my settings off to you guys and I will include my log files for both .59 and .60 test build. http://www.twitch.tv/kill3rman1ac/b/493593099 sorry for it skipping, but that's because of dropped frames

Here are my compents in my PC:
GTX 550ti NVIDIA Graphics card
AMD Phenom 2 X6 1045t Processor 2.70 GHz
64 bit windows
16GB RAM

Please if there is anyone more help i can provide just ask. I want to go back to seamless streaming!

I Can email Test Build .60 test log if someone needs it, but I can't upload it, its too large.

Krazy, I have been up and down that list and still having the same issue over and over again. every since .59 i've been having this issue. I try and go back to .58 or older version and seems like it is a bit better but nothing major. I have 35mbs down and 6mbs up, I went have of my maxbite rate, and i've gone as low as 1500 and its still the same

If you have truly gone through everything in that thread, including trying other network cards on other PCs, and bypassing your router, then you will need to call your ISP.

Ugh, the one thing I didn't want to do, cause it seems like my connection has been fine with no issues. There wouldn't be an issue with having my encoding profile set to high instead of main? cause I didnt see much of a difference

No, it's a matter of your internet connection being unable to sustain the required throughput. It may be that the advertised upload speed you see from your ISP is what you can achieve in bursts, while your sustained upload could be much lower.

Right, during the evening it drops to about 25MBS cause everyone gets home from work and gets on, but around the time I stream at 9 or 10 everyone is mostly off and I can get my full 35 or close. I mean I've streamed with 25MBs before just fine with my max biterate at like 2000kbs. I don't its just frustrating to not be able to stream because of skips in the stream.

Er, wow, actually I do. Your system seems to be choking on your chosen settings, but I'm not sure why. It looks like your GPU is somehow the bottleneck. What game are you trying to stream? You may need to limit the framerate in game or something to give OBS room to work on the GPU.

However, since you are dropping frames, and that's network related, you still do appear to definitely have connection issues. I really think you'll need to call your ISP.

I will be calling them in the when they open and ask for a refresh on my connection and see what might be slowing me down. and I'm running Diablo 3 with these settings:

Texture quality High
Shadown Quality Off
Physics High
Clutter Density Low
Anti- Aliasling on
Low FX off
Full Screen windowed

Btw, never had a problem with any game yet, I've been streaming for 7 months now. since .59 everything was great. I
ll do one more test with my encoding profile set back to main.

Here is the log file for switching back to main.

Ill let you know what they find out at my ISP if they find anything

Make sure they do more than just test your burst upload. You need to have them see if there is a problem with your sustained upload. We're talking like for 10min or more.

Ok if there is anything else I you know should ask them let me know. I would love to get this problem under control. Btw, streamed to hitbox.tv and still had dropped frames but it seemed like a better video.

Also krazy, any idea why my log file blew ass? well why it was trash. I mean my pc is almost 2 years old. its a video game/graphic design computer, not really meant for gaming but it can handle it.

idk, the first one was really bad. The second was much much better, though I do suggest avoiding monitor capture entirely on Windows 7, or at least put it in a separate scene so it doesn't kill performance.

Cool, well then your biggest problem definitely is the sustained upload rate. It's very likely to be an uphill battle with your ISP, though =/

strange for it to happen like this when .59 came out. before it was fine. btw im using eset security software. think anything in there might be a problem?

Nothing, not a thing. everything is fine on there end and fine on my end. sustained upload is fine holding between 30 and 35MBS. and burst of 37. Im not sure what else to do.
