Speedtest.net is basically useless in diagnosing these kinds of issues. It has no bearing on your connection to the particular server you are trying to stream to, or watch content on. Speedtest.net doesn't even do a good job at measuring sustained transfer rates.

Again, speedtests are only an extremely small part of the problem. For diagnosing issues like this, they are usually next to useless. If you've verified your connection is behaving as it should, you've tried all different Twitch servers, and you are still dropping lots of frames, the only course of action left to take is to drop your bitrate until you stop dropping frames.

Unfortunately, there are just too many factors, most of which are usually out of your control, in regards to network conditions.

Have you tried streaming to any other streaming services besides Twitch? Based on things said so far, the problem seems to be on Twitch's end rather than OBS's but it would be good to find out for sure.

well, like 2fu4you is saying,

its the frankfurt level 3 server ...
so everone in germany who want to help just call telekom and tell them they should do anything, we need more people.

if we stream about the asian server with low settings i can stream with only 0,20% dropped frames ..but at all this is no option, why shouldnt i get 0,0% by best settings like before?

i just want my connection via the frankfurt server back, because it was the best for my connection

Hey guys,

well I have to say that this is painfully similar to my Problem. I always wanted to stream and now i hab a capable Connection. 2 MB Upload is not that good but I could work with that. So I did some tweaking here and there to find the right Settings for me and finally I was running an acceptable stream. But now I have the same problem the other guys are having. I started noticing it about a week ago. I thought my ISP was screwing up (What is probably true) and called it a night, thinking "It'll fix itself by tomorrow". My ISP is the Telekom aswell, btw. I hope this issue gets resolved.

seems like it's working better (or maybe even fixed) again.

try by yourself, i'm not 100% sure. at least a friend could stream last night at ~1am CET with 4k bitrate and he just testet it again (11.30 am) and it worked fine too.

let's hope they fixed it :)

edit: i lied :( massive fps drops in the evening again

i have the exact same problem since a few months. i try every now and then if it works but it gets more worse from month to month.

i live in austria, my provider is UPC Broadband and before everything was working fine.i was streaming in full hd with absolutely no frame drops.
but now its impossible to stream anything cause of the dropped frames. iam always over 70% , sometimes it get up to 90% dropped frames.
