I have been having these same dropped frame issues here in the US, West Coast. Around 7pm PST. My question is while we wait for it to be fixed (It's 4/6/15 and I was still having problems tonight), I heard the suggestion of lowering my bitrate significantly to counter it. My concern is that I don't want to lose the clarity and detail in my stream. Twitch recommends that you use a lower resolution ( 720p or even 480p, depending on how low you have to go with your bitrate) As of now, I'm set at 3200 bitrate with the 1080p resolution. If I have to drop my bitrate to 1800, can I still use the 1080p resolution? How can I get it as clear as possible with the lower bitrate?
Also, Krazy, I noticed in your post above me, in your signature you mention to stream all things in 720p and 60 fps, is that the best clarity? I've been going back and forth between 30 and 60 fps between my games. Sometimes the 30 fps is better and sometimes the 60 fps is better, not sure why. I just stream a bunch of different games, so it's a challenge getting each one set up sometimes.
Thank you all sincerely,
This has been driving me nuts for weeks and I'm so glad to finally find the right forum. Thank you all for any time and help you have to offer, it's completely appreciated! Have a great one :)
