Hello, I have a question for the fellow OBS users.
I have developed a really bad habit of building a scene set for every single stream resolution I have, and also have created these profiles.
24 FPS 480p
30 FPS same
48 FPS same
60 FPS same
24 FPS 576p
30, 48 same
24 FPS 720p
30 same
And Scene collections for all three resolutions separately.
Because, I felt like the in-app downscaling was eating up my CPU extra. So now I just switch to whatever profile I have set and if there's anything to change in the scenes (which happens a LOT) I have like an hour of work modifying each and every scene for 3 separate collections.
Did I think right on the actual downscaling being lousier in performance compared to the resolutions actually being 480 or 576p?
Note: I switch to the lower resolutions when my actual game's going to be at that resolution, for no downscaling to occur!
P.S: For the people asking WHY I'm going such lengths, I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2010 13 inches. It is a Core 2 duo 2.4 GHZ with a Geforce 320m in it and I'm looking for ways to improve my stream's performance and quality in any way that I can. For those who wants to see what can be achieved with a potato can check out my VOD's, nickname is FatherSupreme. Also, anyone who's telling me to upgrade my PC can gladly donate me to do so, I don't have the cash to spare for now and it is not the pressing issue here.
