Question / Help Downloading Plugins

Hi. I am trying to download the video source plugin. I have windows 8.1 and just cant seem to work what i need to copy and paste into my obs program. Im not very good with computers so sorry for what is probably a stupid question. Any help in idiot terms would be great. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply. I read that guide. I just cant work out what im ment to copy and paste into the obs program.

You don't copy and paste anything into OBS while it is running. You copy the contents of the zip into the place described in the link above, and then start OBS, and it should load the plugin automatically.

Ok. I get that. Im trying to add the video source plugin. When i click on the link to do it i get the little download box in the bottom left hand corner. When i try to open the box windows 8 asks me how i would like to open it, this is where i get lost as i cant get how to open i . I cant work out what it is i need to copy and paste.

Open it with 7-zip.

Cheers. Finally opened the folder and moved them into the plugin folders. But now i get a message saying
' The program cant start because libvlc,dll is missing from your computer.'

Read the instructions again, you're not installing the plugins properly.

Definitely make sure to keep the folder structure in tact. If the libvlc.dll is missing you either did not extract the subfolders correct or broke the structure. Normally you can just open the 7z file, click on extract (without going into any subfolder) and extracting both the included folder and dll file into your OBS\Plugins folder.

Finally managed to sort it. Thanks everyone for your patience and help. Sorry for being such a pain in the backside.
