Using a Turtle Beach Earforce X11 headset with a dual-plug-to-single-4-pole Y-adaptor in the dual-function mic/headset 3.5mm port on my laptop. Problem is, when you plug up, the computer automatically allocates the mic and audio to the port. Creating a problem that makes OBS treat the port as auxiliary input as well as mic. So my game, chat and any other audio output is also being treated as input, any sound output is being additionally treated as input through the mic/aux--audio input capture source. This creates distorted sound and overlapping voices and sounds during from streams and recordings. I apologize if I've been a bit redundant/repetitive, but it is a very specific issue and I don't want it to be confused with other, similar-sounding-but-not-quite-the-same issues. I have tried every combination and attempt I can think of and nothing is fixing this problem. The only temporary fix I have come up with is to unplug the adaptor and plug in the headphone jack only, but then I have to use the integrated laptop microphone and the turtle beach mic is useless. There are no settings to separate these that I can find. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
