MY live stream is mediocre due to my CPu whihc is geting older, and my internet speed. So I need as much bandwidth and CPU power as I can get. I have looked over tons of tutorials and it has really helped me. I never had a question until now, so I decided to make an account.

Anyway, here is the question. When you are streaming, you can see what it looks like on the OBS Client. Does seeing the preview likethat actually use bandwidth? Would minimizing while streaming help? Cause I seem to have a bit of stream lag and am looking to fix it.

You can look at past broadcasts to see the lag here: twitch.tv/ajbooobs

Thank you guys for all the help you have given indirectly, and now hopefully directly. lol

No, having the preview window rendering doesn't eat any bandwidth. It's all system-local. It adds very slightly to your GPU load, and possibly your CPU load. But almost enough not to even matter, even for those.
