I opened my S-Video/Composite to USB capture device with VLC just to test something earlier and now when I use OBS, the input feed from the VCR is either in black and white or in colour with distorted colour blocks - seems to randomly pick one or the other. Everything I've tried has not fixed this and I can't think of anything else to try to fix it.
Setup I had has been working fine for 2 years right up until I opened the capture device in VLC.
Things I've tried:
Restarting multiple times
Disconnecting and reconnecting the USB capture device
Uninstall and re-install capture device drivers
Uninstall VLC
Create a new source in OBS
Create a new user account on the PC and set up OBS again fresh
Switching between composite video and S-Video (I use S-Video normally)
Switching between different video standards, PAL, NTSC, SECAM etc. (default I was using was PAL_I)
Does anyone have any suggestions or know what is causing this?
Picture below of the "colour blocks" I was referring to. The screen should just be blue.
Thanks!
