Question / Help Disconnected by server (within 5-15 sec of Streaming)

Okay, lol. I lasted about 9~10 minutes and then my Dropped Frames slowly but surely began rising again and disconnected. I decided to take the full advice of removing ComboFix and rkill, and I seem to be streaming OKAY (goes from red to green ping, red being the favored) and constantly dropping frames still. I went live once again, and it lasted about 6 minutes. I'm quite afraid that my ISP is bandwidth throttling me.

I currently use Cox's Preferred Package, and I'm considering upgrading to increase my upload rate, but I've been uncertain if I could resolve this issue some other way.

Ultimate Package
Maximum upload speed 20 Mbps
Maximum upload speed with PowerBoost 25 Mbps

Premier Package
Maximum upload speed 10 Mbps
Maximum upload speed with PowerBoost 13 Mbps

Preferred Package
Maximum upload speed 5 Mbps <-- what I'm using
Maximum upload speed with PowerBoost 6 Mbps

Now, I'm not trying to advertise anything whatsoever; my goal here is to figure out if my last resort (paying more money) is the only solution here to fix my streaming issues. (BTW so far I'm @ 14 minutes on stream, but it WILL cut out eventually)

I'm not asking you guys to tell me what I should do myself, but I WOULD like to ask you to put yourself in my shoes. If you were having these issues, and all of these potential solutions weren't solving the problem, would you upgrade? (I'm assuming to the Ultimate Package, because that's what I would do)

I'm just very afraid that if the problem is NOT the ISP, then I've waste my money on something I really didn't need (I think? pretty sure upload is very important for streaming lolololol)

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help.

a few more things to try, 1. post the logfile of you streaming for 5 minutes or more. second, enable aero in OBS and use a windows aero theme.

Apologies for the semi-necro bump--but this hasn't been solved anyway--and I have come to the conclusion that these dropped frames are not the cause of OBS. Not at all. I upgraded my ISP to the highest performance (SUPPOSEDLY providing up to 20 mbps upload from my previous cap of 5 mbps). Keeping this in mind, I decided to try using Xplit again, and although it would tell me that I was live, I never was... AND it gave me the same message of Dropped Frames as OBS has been.

Not only this, but I cannot even enjoy playing games online anymore. I'm being disconnected from games within, I'd guess, about 3-5 minutes of playtime. And I cannot figure out why this is happening. As far as I can remember, I did not change anything to my PC before any of these issues began to occur.

Now, I believe that this is not an OBS issue, but if someone who has any ideas on how to resolve these issues would be so kind to relieve me of my everlasting grief, I would take up the role of a bard and sing tales of your heroic deeds throughout the land. (PLEASE HELP ME OMG I'M LOSING MY MIND HERE)

Oh, and my upload seems to be nonexistent. I can't quite understand that, especially since I had upgraded my ISP to allow 4x the limit of the previous upload rate.

Thanks for reading my posts, and to all the people who have attempted to help resolve my problems.

since I'm assuming you went back and uninstalled the rest of the antimalware tools, I will say, try resetting your router. just unplug for 30 second then plug back in. Aside from that, an OS restore might help and be careful what you install. I would even attempt to revert your network card driver on your PC to the driver from your motherboard manufacturer's website. this is a delicate operation per say since when you remove the old one. you'll need to do this in device manager and remove the driver as well so make sure you have the proper driver for this to put it back in place.

I've reset my router (and taken it out of the equation) and the cable modem many, many, many times. It's a very basic trick that does sometimes work, but not for this current problem. I have never been able to keep track of my OS cd. Never. I've looked for it over and over as my own solution to just reformat and be done with this. So that one's probably not happening either.

As for the network card, this is all I see that I have--the wireless adapter being the only one disabled

I've got no idea what network adapter to get, if it even matters what developer it's from. (mobo is Alienware 046MHW)
Should I just go out and buy any decent-looking adapter and switch it out? ('ve taken computers apart quite a few times and know how to handle them [bad experience with ruining a graphics card once by trying to clearn it])

thanks lol
Well dell bought alienware so I knew to go to the dell site, the only think I had to look up was the alienware series you were in, which was a somewhat easy find.

@dping I so far don't know if this is working 100%, but I've managed to play a game much longer online than previously when i stated my problems, so, so far you are my muse, my flame; my lord, my savior.

However, (even though I don't think that previous feedback/help was for the upload issues) I still am completely unable to stream. :( My dream may just be dead. I've already stressed WAY TOO MUCH over these Dropped Frames issues previously stated and attempted to troubleshoot with the kind people here who intended to help me with my problems.

But if I have any problems with my online gaming in the very near future, I may be back... even if it's only to ask for a more suitable forum (since I don't believe it's OBS-related in the least).

Again, thank you a million times for pointing me in the right direction to continue playing games, rather than sulk in the corner.

If you try a different PC and still have the issues, then it just might be your ISP in the end. by ISP maybe your upload link to your cable modem's S/N ratio is bad, or the db/m isn't enough. this is something for them to check. I know this because before I got google fiber, I had my cable company struggling to provide the proper upload speed to stream.

Thanks for that info, I'm going to have to talk to them today or tomorrow anyway--I just didn't think I could handle it today with all the stress these problems have gifted me.

Posted this in another forum post with the same issue. Gonna stick it here as well:

So I have read everything here, I even went to the "try this first" forum post. I too start my stream, and within a min or so get DC. My frame rate drops to 0, then it attempts to reconnect. Its funny how I keep seeing that mods are saying its networking issues when its clearly not. I spent over an hour on the phone with my ISP and they say everything is fine. So then I switched to FFsplit and xsplit and they both work without an issue. And just to make sure it was not a network issue I have done every test imaginable, opened my ports, contacted twitch, etc. This is clearly a issue with OBS. On a different note, I did change my password yesterday, and that's when I started getting the issue. I have tried to change my stream key and also changed servers. I'm completely stumped. I would post my log files but they are identical to everyone else's who have this issue. I don't want to quit using OBS, but if I must, I must.

That IS a connection issue, OBS doesn't just magically disconnect when it feels like it.
But anyway, you should make your own topic about it, not hijack other topics.
