Question / Help Directx10 is required error

Anytime i try to record on OBS i get a popup error saying that my driver is out of date and/ or that i need to install directx10. Im trying to understand how this is correct when i have directx 11 already on my pc. :/

It's because your GPU isn't DirectX 10 compliant. It doesn't have the hardware DX10 support needed for OBS. This is not the software DirectX package (which you do indeed have installed).

Yeah, Microsoft made things confusing, naming both a set of software, and a hardware standard the same thing.
