Question / Help Different volume levels when recording Skype audio.

I had a problem recently with a local recording that made Skype audio really quiet so that you could hardly hear the person I was talking to.

I just did a couple of tests and found that if you start recording after joining a call the audio levels are fine and everyone sounds normal however, if you start recording before you join a call then the call sounds super quiet.
This is only noticeable in the recording since in both instances the call is the same volume through my headset/earphones.

This isn't really a bug, just a case of bad settings.

Disable ducking your windows audio settings:

Disable Skype from auto adjusting volume in Skype settings.
