Question / Help Desktop audio sounds bad, fix?

Audio problems are almost always machine-specific and very few have anything to do with OBS itself.

Your audio devices are:

13:27:06.056: WASAPI: Device 'Speaker/Headphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)' initialized
13:27:06.196: WASAPI: Device 'Microphone Array (Realtek High Definition Audio)' initialized

That seems like you're using a set of headphones as a microphone (which would sound lousy) and then a "microphone array".

Is one of these your default Windows audio device?

Speaker/Headphone Realtek High Definition Audio would be my speakers. Microphone array is my laptop''s default mic, but I have it muted. If it helps, I have an HP Pavilion.

So I too had this issue and played with settings for a week then I realized I'd installed peace which uses equalizer APO. I uninstalled, recorded and my sound was from desktop. If you have peace equalizer and thusly equalizer APO installed try removing, it appears something in the way it hooks system sound causes the issue.
