Question / Help Desktop Audio Question

So I have a Diamond VC500 and I want to broadcast to both stream and desktop, is there any way to do this? The only way I have been able to send both sound to the stream and my TV is by using the left audio for the stream and the right audio for my TV, but this is unsatisfactory for a multitude of reasons. I can hear the sound perfect in desktop and stream, but not both at the same time. Is there any work-around you can think of? Preferably without splitters...

What do you have against splitters? There's not really another solution, unless you buy a different capture device that has audio passthrough instead.

When you say you want to broadcast to both stream and desktop, what do you mean?

I suppose as a super-hack you could set the device audio to "Output to desktop" in your video capture source, and then just play using sounds coming from your computer speakers.

I mean as in, output to desktop so I can hear the game through my speakers and output to stream at the same time, it can do it with video, but I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Well, if you do what I just described, that should accomplish what you are asking for.

That should output to the stream just fine. Just make sure you have correctly selected the right desktop device to capture in OBS settings.

which device should I be selecting? I've tried everything with the audio settings, it either sends to game sound to my speakers, or to the stream, not both.

The crossbar input should be Video Composite In (Related streams should show the Audio In stream) and "Link Related Streams" should be checked.

crossbar input video composite in can only be used with, output video decoder out = no sound

changing video decoder out to audio decoder out and input to audio line in = sound but can only be heard though either the speakers or the stream, not both at the same time. Link related streams is never able to be saved checked. I am dealing with an white yellow red capture card in SD.
