Hey guys,
Having some frustrating troubles and can't seem to find anything useful on Google, thought maybe I could get some help here. As a gaming streamer I like to play different games all the time, some being PC games, some being console. My setup for PC is pretty standard and I can stream/record perfectly with little to no issues other than general game options. Then with a little tweaking I can play console games effortlessly and the streams always come out nice. However, my problem lies when I try to switch between them mid streams. (I have an Elgato for recording my console by the way)
Now, I know how to set audio delays, but the problem is that the Elgato has a 1.5s delay, where a monitor/source capture does not, which in turns means all the audio is off the second I switch. As far as I have read or as far as I'm aware, there is no current way to delay video. Am I correct in assuming this? I have also tried using negative delays/buffers, but still with the video refusing to negatively buffer, it simply will not line up.
So, what are my options? The way that I see this, its only going to work one of two ways. 1 I buy a new capture card. But with that there is no guarantee that I get one with no delay? or option 2 I create separate profiles for streaming console and for streaming PC. Which means every time I want to switch id have to restart my stream, which may be a hassle but its looking like that's my best bet.
Thank you guys for taking the time to read this and helping me out! Let me know what you think and hopefully I can get this thing sorted out!
