I may be misinformed on this so please correct me if I am wrong.
Currently when using Display Capture OBS will render the capture regardless if it is visible or hidden. I understand why this behavior is there. This way the capture is immediately available at all times. The downside is OBS is doing this processing when no one can see it.
So the suggestion is to be able to deactivate a display capture when the source isn't visible, just like you can with a video capture device.
