Question / Help Dazzle and audio problems

Hi,
first of all excuse my bad english but it isn't my first language.

I want to stream (to JustinTV) with OBS.

My situation:
-I have a Pinnacle 710 USB Dazzle
-I can import video and stream it successful
-I have problem with the audio signal. OBS doesn't recognize the Dazzle ad an Input Audio Device. I have read in the forum that the problem may be solved by "crossbar". I downloaded the program but nothing!

I have 2 questions:
-How can I resolve the problem?
-Do you advise me a Dazzle/Input device that _surely_ works with audio and video? (I could buy it)

Thank you for your time.

P.S.
I can inport the audio signal from the jack of the laptop (and in fact that works with my laptop) but I have to work with another laptop that has issues with the microphone/line in.

This is a Dazzle driver issue that is not likely to ever be fixed. Whenever the device is initialized, the audio pin defaults to the non-existent "Tuner" input, so you have to use something like Crossbar Thing to open the crossbar for the device and set it to the audio line in instead.

Be aware that the Dazzle itself has issues with dropping sound packets, so sound may or may not go out of sync after an extended period of streaming or recording.

If you can get rid of your Dazzle, I would suggest picking up an AVerMedia C039 USB 2.0 stick instead.

Thank you for the reply.

I tried to use crossbar.

When I open it and select "Pinnacle 710-USB Crossbar" the program show me, in the section Input, the choice "0: Video Composite In".
In the list of the avaible lines there isn't the "Audio In".

If I choose the "1: Audio Decoder Out" in the OUTPUT SECTION, automatically the program put "2: Audio Line In" in the INPUT SECTION.

But if I click "Apply" and then open again the "Pinnacle 710-USB Crossbar" the settings are wrong again, with the "0: Video Composite In" in the Input section.

I have to buy another Dazzle or similiar, do you "guarantee" me that with the AVerMedia C039 I can import both audio and video?

Thank you very much.

The input section switching back shouldn't be a problem, that's just how the crossbar works. You can try ticking the "Link related streams" checkbox as well.

And yes, I can guarantee that both audio and video will work with the AVerMedia C039.

Ok, I've tried:
-Set crossbar
-Ticking "Link related streams"
-Close crossbar ignoring the it switches back

But when I open OBS and set as Input Device "Pinnacle 710 Usb" in the section "Audio" nothing related to the dazzle appears.

Do I have to change something in OBS to cooperate to crossbar?

I'm going to do other experiments, if they fail I'll try to buy the AverMedia device.

Thank you.
