Question / Help Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin not smooth on stream

This is all done on PC by the way, not console. I've been playing Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC for a little bit now w/o any issues. Max settings, very smooth performance, even on stream it's smooth. But when I want to stream Scholar of the first sin, it just looks choppy on stream for some reason. Even during cutscenes, like when the bosses get introduced, the FPS on OBS will drop to like 20, 25, 27 and so on. Does this game not make proper use of my cores or what? Why is GTA V performing better on stream than Dark Souls 2 when GTAV is a LOT more demanding...?

What settings do you use to even get it to stream/record? All I get is a black screen no matter what I do
