I'm looking for a simple way to keep track of which PTZ camera scene and/or source is "live" in Program.
The use case is a house of worship where we try to keep things simple (and cheap) by using the PTZOptics controller to control the cameras and using OBS for switching. It's only a two-camera setup where the cameras are stationed close together. There are times the two cameras frame nearly the same shot and we can't always tell at a glance which is the one in Preview and which is the one in Program. There is no tally communication between OBS and the PTZOptics controller that I can find.
1. The workaround is to use the OBS Multiview, which at least provides the scene name plus red and green tally frame on the small windows. But it's cumbersome and I don't need 8 scenes plus Preview and Program in Multiview the way I use it. If Multiview could be customized, as suggested in this thread (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/better-multiview-customizations.143086/) it might be more helpful.
2. I've looked into a number of tally light systems and plugins. I don't need a physical tally light. It seems like the Tally Light Software (https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/tally-light-software.1041/) could be made to serve my purpose with a small browser window that would show what I want to see, but I haven't been able to make that work. It seems like my one-computer configuration should be simpler than the various network configs the app wants to see. I'm still looking at this, but if there are any helpful tips I'd be grateful.
3. What would seem even simpler, but apparently is not possible now, is to see the Scene name in the title bar next to "Preview" or "Program" labels in the big OBS windows. Scene names are neatly displayed in the Multiview, and you can opt to show preview/program labels on the big windows. Wouldn't it be cool if we could opt to show the scene name there too? That's really all it would take to help my issue.
Can anyone help with tips or any configs or apps I've missed?
I'm also new to the forum, so my apology if this should be posted elsewhere.
Most recent log file attached if that's helpful. Thanks in advance.
