Question / Help Cursor Flickering - can't stop it!

I have exactly the problem described in this thread:

https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/mouse-flickering-issues.15701/

I tried Game Capture and Window Capture, tried lowering the fps, and tweaking almost every setting to ease the load on my CPU, etc... I can get a perfect capture, but nothing stops the cursor from flickering occasionally, randomly.

I'm running on a laptop with dual video cards...

If I use game capture, I have to switch OBS to capture from the Nvidia GPU, when I use Window capture, I have to set OBS to capture from the Microsoft Basic Render Driver, but playing with both types of capture still causes the cursor to flicker randomly.

The flickering shows up in the preview window as well as the final capture -- and I tried disabling preview as well.

Any ideas?

This is the only log file that relates to the launch where I experienced the cursor flickering.

I went to c:\users\<my name>\AppData\Roaming\OBS\logs and there are only 6 or 7 files, with dates that are nearly identical to the file I uploaded and I read the thread you linked -- there is no other log file I can find in the folder or in the help->log files menu-- they all look almost identical to the one pasted above (from previous captures/runs of the app).

I only let the game run for about 5 or 10 seconds to see the cursor flickering... do I need to let it run longer?

Osiris - did you read my post?

That's the same link you posted above. As I mentioned - I read it and, unless I'm completely blind or missing something, there are no logs nor information in that thread other than what I posted.

OBS logs are stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\OBS\logs.

I looked in that folder and there is only what I posted above.

What am I missing?

The request is for a complete log file from a streaming or recording attempt where the flickering occurred. If you don't have one available, restarting OBS and recreating the issue by streaming or recording should yield a fresh log file.

Apologies for the delay - I'm still having this problem and I've tried almost every single combination of settings, sources, etc... I can think of. I've also scoured the web and I can't, for the life of me, stop the flickering cursor.

Here is the complete log, as requested.

Also, here's a link to a video showing an example of the flickering I'm seeing:

Can anyone provide some insight here?

*bump* Can anyone help me? -- I've seen a lot of similar posts (just Google OBS + Mouse/Cursor flicker) -- A solution here could help quite a lot of folks who are having similar problems.

Thanks,

I appreciate the quick responses I got when I originally posted this, but there's been no activity in weeks. Any chance someone can help?
